Understanding people is just as important as understanding medicine.
Every day, medicine teaches us about the human body.
People teach us about life.
As a gynecologist, I’ve had the privilege of meeting people during some of the most significant moments of their lives. Those conversations have shaped me just as much as my medical training.
Some of the most important conversations in medicine never happen inside medical textbooks. They’re the conversations people are afraid to have—or simply don’t know how to begin. This space is my attempt to create room for those conversations.
Over the years, I realised that while medicine prepares us to diagnose disease, many of the experiences that shape our lives remain difficult to talk about.
Not because they are rare.
But because they are deeply human.
Questions about pregnancy.
Relationships.
Sexuality.
Identity.
Grief.
Mental health.
Loneliness.
Hope.
These conversations often begin long before anyone walks into a clinic.
That’s why this space exists.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because I believe some questions deserve more curiosity than judgment.
Here, you’ll find evidence-based medicine, stories, interviews, reflections, and conversations about the experiences that shape our health and our lives.
Some essays will explain the science.
Others will simply explore what it means to be human.
I hope every person who visits—whether you’re a patient, a healthcare professional, supporting someone you love, or simply curious about people—feels welcome here.
Everything I write will strive to be grounded in evidence, guided by compassion, and open to the possibility that there is always more to learn.
More than anything, I hope you leave understanding yourself—or someone else—a little better than before.
